How It Works
The workflow is informational from start to finish: organize local material, analyze what you stored, and keep summaries for personal reference.
1. Gather locally available information
Start with notes, logs, and private record files you already maintain. SmartLayer is meant to work with information in your environment rather than asking you to fund an account or connect a custody service. Choose the material that belongs in a given review session.
2. Structure the archive
Place entries into categories and periods that match how you think about your records. Structure can be light — a few labels and date ranges — or denser if your archive is large. The point is findability, not financial account hierarchy.
3. Track ongoing updates
As you add new private entries, keep them in the same organized space. Tracking helps you see which topics remain active and which summaries may need a refresh. Updates describe your documentation habits; they do not move money or authorize transfers.
4. Review and analyze
Open analytical views to examine counts, category balance, and timelines. Compare an earlier period with a later one when you want context for a personal summary. Analysis stays inside your selected local dataset.
5. Produce a private summary
When you have enough context, draft a short summary of the records you selected. Save that text with your archive for later reading. Summaries are informational record-keeping aids, not recommendations.
6. Return when you need clarity again
Revisit the utility whenever your private notes grow noisy. The same steps — organize, track, review, summarize — remain available without introducing payments, wallet connections, deposits, withdrawals, or investment actions.
Boundaries of the process
Throughout the flow, SmartLayer:
- does not execute transactions
- does not access private keys
- does not custody user funds or cryptocurrency assets
- does not provide financial or investment advice
